petra.nysten@ekvalita.fi Petra’s areas of expertise in Ekvalita are surveys, policy development, inclusive communication, and gender equality work at higher education institutions and other organizations. Petra is currently training to become an authorized JGL gender equality trainer offered by the Swedish National Defence College. The JGL concept training is an introduction to gender equality for companies and organizations. Petra is an experienced moderator, lecturer and trainer, and has worked with diversity issues for instance through the British Council's Intercultural Navigators Programme. Petra’s previous work experience includes the posts of assistant to two Members of Parliament in Finland, assistant in the gender equality project 6mix, political secretary at a women's organization. During 6mix, Petra did a survey of the gender equality work at all Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland, carried out in cooperation with SAMOK (the Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences). Petra now divides her time between her own company QRISP and Ekvalita. QRISP offers translation services in Swedish, English, and Finnish, and is specialized in the areas of gender equality, diversity, and higher education.
